Asset tracking

Asset tracking: trailers, containers and machines on the map

Unpowered equipment is the easiest to lose track of. A battery tracker follows it by GPS and alerts you immediately if something moves when it shouldn't.

Outdoors and indoors, even without an engine

Who it's for
Trailers, containers, generators, machines and other equipment. Outdoors on site and on the road, and indoors in sheds, warehouses and car parks.
What it solves
Unpowered equipment is the easiest to lose track of. Outdoors, a battery tracker follows it by GPS: it checks in a few times a day, which is why it lasts for years. If something moves when it shouldn't, you get an alert with its position immediately.
Indoors: indoor tracking in preparation
GPS doesn't work under a roof. Indoors, we mount small beacons on walls or ceilings that together form a mesh network: a tag on your container, roll cage, machine or car passes its signal through the beacons to a single gateway per building. You can then see, floor by floor, which zone something is in, even in a multi-storey building. If a beacon fails, the network automatically finds another route.

How a battery tracker lasts for years

A battery tracker doesn't send a live position; it checks in a few times a day. In between, it sleeps and uses almost no power. For stationary equipment that is all you need: you want to know where it is, and to be told when that changes.

  • No wiring and no connection to a power supply
  • The platform monitors the battery voltage, so you know well in advance when a battery needs replacing
  • Can be retrofitted to existing equipment, even equipment that has been in use for years
  • An alert with its position as soon as something moves when it shouldn't: at night, at the weekend, off your site

One map: equipment next to your vehicles

Your assets appear on the same map as your vehicles. Draw your yards or project sites as geofences and you can see what is at each location right now, with an alert when something leaves. Small tools that don't justify a tracker of their own can be followed with BLE tags (new): small transmitters without a SIM card that the HubLogiQ tracker in the van detects automatically.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the battery of an asset tracker last?

Years. Because the tracker reports its position a few times a day rather than continuously, power consumption is minimal. The platform monitors the battery voltage and warns you well before a replacement is needed.

Can I put a tracker on older equipment?

Yes. The tracker doesn't need a power connection and mounts directly on the trailer, machine or container, even on equipment that has been in use for years.

What happens if something is stolen?

As soon as equipment starts moving unexpectedly, you get an immediate alert with its current position. Those first minutes make the difference between recovering it and writing it off.

And small tools?

For those, there are BLE tags (new): small transmitters without a SIM card. The HubLogiQ tracker in the van detects the tag, so you know which van the tools are in.

Does it also work indoors, in a shed or warehouse?

GPS doesn't work under a roof. Indoor tracking with beacons on walls or ceilings is in preparation: you will then see, floor by floor, which zone something is in.

What does asset tracking cost?

Outdoor, battery-powered: €3.95 per asset per month if you buy the tracker, or €4.95 per month if you rent it (hardware included). Indoor (in preparation): a gateway in the building at €9.95 per month, plus €0.99 per BLE tag per month.
