On-board computer: the app for your drivers

A phone or tablet as an on-board computer. Drivers update their work status, chat with the planner and see their own driving and rest times, live from the tachograph.

What the on-board computer solves

Who it's for
Companies where planners and drivers are in touch all day, and fleets with tachograph vehicles.
The problem
Without an on-board computer, everything goes by phone: calling to ask what someone is doing. And drivers have to keep track themselves of how much longer they may drive.
The solution
The driver app, on a phone or tablet. Drivers update their work status, chat with the planner and see their driving and rest times live from the tachograph. They can also operate any vehicle functions your account allows from the same app. The app is now in beta.
Installation
Who installs it? We do. We work with a network of top telematics installers, all SCM certified. We install in the Netherlands and Belgium, and in other countries on a project basis.

What the driver does in the app

  • Update their work status, so the planner can see what they are doing.
  • Chat with the planner. Messages can be looked up later.
  • See their own driving and rest times, read live from the tachograph.
  • Operate vehicle functions, where your account allows.
  • See their own vehicle and trips, and mark each trip as business, commute or private.

To be clear: what it can't do yet

The app is in beta and is still growing. Sending jobs from a planning board to the driver isn't possible yet: the planning board is in preparation. The app doesn't track the phone in the background; the vehicle is tracked by the tracker in the vehicle.

Frequently asked questions

Is the on-board computer a separate device?

No. The on-board computer is the driver app, on a phone or tablet. It works on iPhone and Android.

Can drivers see their driving and rest times?

Yes, read live from their vehicle's tachograph. This works for vehicles with remote tacho.

Can the planner send jobs to the app?

Not yet. The planning board, where the planner assigns jobs to vehicles, is in preparation. Chatting with the planner is already possible.

Can my employer track me through the app?

The app doesn't measure location in the background. The vehicle is tracked by the tracker in the vehicle, not by your phone.

Is the app available yet?

What does the on-board computer cost?

The driver app is included in Tracking, €9.95 per vehicle per month. For driving and rest times from the tachograph, add the Remote tacho add-on at €4.00 per vehicle per month.
